Advanced Training – Leadership Pathway

If you feel God may be calling you to serve or lead others, this section explains
what leadership looks like and how to take the next step when you’re ready.

LEADERSHIP INVITATION

Are  You Someone God is Preparing to Lead?

In Detox with Jesus, we believe God raises up leaders in ways the world does not expect. You may not see yourself as a leader. You may have come from hard paces, faced battles, or been told you would never amount to much. But God look at your heart, not your past.

When the prophet Samuel arrived to anoint Israel's next king, David wasn't even invited to the gathering. Everyone else looked stronger, smarter, or more impressive.

yet God said, "People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7) God chose David - the one who was overlooked - to lead a nation. And God still chooses like this today.

The Bible also says, “God chooses what the world thinks is foolish to shame the wise, and chooses what is weak to show His power.”(1 Corinthians 1:27, easy reading)

This means God often chooses the unlikely - the broken, the humble, the ones who learned their lessons in the “school of hard knocks.” People like you who know they need Him most.

You may also be someone who understands the heart of the hurting because you’ve lived through pain yourself. Perhaps you were judged, criticized, or dismissed. You know what it feels like to be spoken down to or made to feel small.

That is why you would never do the same to another person. You would stand up for the vulnerable because you have walked a mile in their shoes.

This kind of compassion is priceless. And it is exactly what true leadership is made of.

If you feel a stirring in your heart as you read this, it may be because God is preparing you for more. Leadership begins with willingness - not perfection.

If you have a desire to grow, to learn, and to serve with humility, there is a place for you here.

Leadership Qualities We Pray For and Look For

These qualities are simple, gentle, and achievable for anyone who is willing to grow:

1. Spiritually Awake - You pay attention to God and try to respond when He speaks.

2. Humble and Willing -You do not need to impress others; you simply want to serve.

3. Open-Minded About Denominations -You value unity over church labels or traditions.

4. Kind, Wise, and Able to Discern - You lead with a soft heart, a steady mind, and a sense of what is right.

5. Ready to Learn - You have a teachable spirit and are open to new things God may do.

6. Steady in Prayer and Scripture -Not perfect, but committed to growing in your walk with God.

7. Aligned With the Movement’s Message - You understand and agree with the heart of Detox with Jesus.

8. Lives the Word, Not Just Hears It - You try to put God’s truth into action in everyday life.

9. Committed to Long-Term Care - You understand that healing and change take time and relationship.

10. Willing to Stand Up for the Hurting - You are ready to support, encourage, and advocate for those in pain.

A FINAL WORD FROM OUR HEARTS

Leaders here are not chosen by popularity, talent, or education.

We are not building a crowd - we are building a family.

We are not looking for perfect people - we are looking for willing hearts.

If God is stirring something in you, we invite you to pray, listen, and consider whether He may be calling you to step forward.

We choose leaders based on purity, unity, alignment, and obedience - not numbers.

And if you believe God may be preparing you, we would love to walk this journey with you.
